bailee + jody
From the first moment we met Bailee to creating this wedding planning blog, Bailee has been nothing but a pure JOY to work with. Bailee won our 6th Annual “25 Days of Build-A-Bride™” giveaway. Fashion designer, Heidi Elnora and her team at the The Heidi Elnora Atelier, a local bridal shop, surprised Bailee while she was training for her job at Shipt. Bailee had no idea that she had not only won a free wedding dress, but the wedding dream team to go with it.
Bailee and Jody’s wedding was the perfect celebration of their love! They have dated since high school, and it was only fitting that their wedding day was on Bailee’s 23rd birthday as they celebrate starting the rest of their lives together. Surrounded by family, friends, and her sorority sisters from Jacksonville State University, this Southern Wedding had all of the bells and whistles.
Brittany Massey, a local freelance hair stylist and make-up artist in the Birmingham area, created the perfect wedding hair and wedding make-up. Right before Bailee went out to see her groom and to have their first look, Brittany FaceTimed Heidi Elnora so that she could see the beautiful wedding dress and how everything turned out. Eric and Jamie Gay, a husband-and-wife wedding photographer team in Birmingham, Alabama, captured the day from start to finish and also shot their engagement photos, and Juan Rodriguez Photography, an Alabama event videographer and photographer, videoed the entire day. Oak Meadow Event Center, a farmhouse wedding venue in Northeast Alabama, provided an intimate space for the wedding ceremony and wedding reception. Petals of Serenity, a local Birmingham floral designer, created amazing wedding florals, and used silk ribbons from Cocoon Silk Ribbon, an Alabama textiles studio. Prophouse Birmingham, an event rental company in Alabama, created an electric ambiance throughout the space.
Bailee wore a fitted wedding dress with spaghetti straps and a detachable train. Her lace wedding dress had 3-D appliques at the bodice and a satin wedding dress skirt. Bailee requested a wedding dress with sleeves, so the team at the Heidi Elnora Atelier created custom organza and illusion ones for her. The organza ball gown skirt had lace details at the hem and down the back of the chapel length train. Bailee also wore a tulle wedding veil. The bride’s flower girl wore a beautiful flower girl dress from Trish Scully.
The bridesmaids wore dresses from the online bridesmaid dress boutique, Revelry, and the groom and groomsmen looked dapper in their tuxes from Jos A Bank, a popular menswear store. The beautiful invitations were custom made by Tittle Stationery, a local Birmingham stationery company, and wedding and event planner, Kendal Perry, made sure that the day went off without a hitch.
Once the ceremony spaced was flipped for the reception, the real party began. Classic Catering and Events, a central Alabama wedding catering company, made sure that all of the guests had plenty to eat, and the delicious cakes were provided by Edgar’s Bakery, a popular birthday cake, wedding cake, and cupcake company in Alabama. When the night ended, all of the guests went home with hand poured candles as wedding favors from Deep South Luxury, an Alabama candle company.
We wish the happy couple nothing but happiness in their future together!
