caitlin + ted

Caitlin and Ted’s springtime Birmingham wedding celebrated their love in a chic boutique setting. Birmingham wedding photographers Eric and Jamie Photography and wedding videographer Down in Front Productions captured every sweet moment from the wedding day, which was coordinated by local wedding planner Jessica Cobb White

The traditional wedding ceremony was held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, which was followed by an elegant wedding reception at Grand Bohemian Mountain Brook, a whimsical boutique hotel that makes for a classic hotel wedding venue.

For her classic wedding dress, Caitlin combined two dresses into one: she chose the trumpet Coco Marie wedding dress skirt and the v-neck Vivienne Beau wedding dress top. She removed the illusion back of the Vivienne Beau top for an open back wedding dress look, which was accented beautifully by our clean edge chapel length wedding veil.

“After two days of uncertainty and ‘swings and misses’ at a couple other bridal stores, this experience was magical,” says Caitlin, who is a Chicago bride but has lived in Birmingham for several years. “I honestly would suggest anyone from Chicago or any other location far away to make a trip to Birmingham just to have the same experience I did.”

Though she was initially nervous to create her own wedding dress by combining different silhouettes from our Build-A-Bride™ collection, Caitlin trusted our unique process. “The thought of building my dress gave me anxiety at first,” she says. “But they made the process so efficient and worth your time!”

To complete her wedding day look, Caitlin sported a chic bridal chignon and natural wedding day makeup by Birmingham hair and makeup artist Beth Jett. Her bridal party looked perfect for spring in printed bridesmaids dresses by Show Me Your Mumu. One of our favorite details from Caitlin’s wedding day are the wedding flowers by Leigh Anne White--the grand pink and white wedding bouquets and flower crowns worn by the flower girls celebrated spring in a bright, fresh way. Groom Ted and his groomsmen wore classic black tuxedos by Jos. A. Bank.

Wedding band Creativity brought the reception to life, as did the delicious wedding catering by the Grand Bohemian team. Guests enjoyed the classic white floral wedding cake by Olexa’s, a popular wedding cake bakery and restaurant in Mountain Brook. The wedding came to a close with a sendoff thanks to Rare Transportation, which provides classic cars and transportation for weddings.

Thank you to Caitlin and Ted for letting us be a part of your big day--sending you our best wishes!
