kaitlyn + jacob
Kaitlyn and Jacob’s mountaintop wedding was breathtaking, and we are still in awe of the beauty of their wedding day! Their ceremony and reception took place at Infinity Event Venue, an outdoor wedding venue with breathtaking views of the North Alabama bluffs. Alabama husband and wife wedding photography team Ivory House Media Co. captured the sentiments of the day with an artful eye.
Kaitlyn and Jacob met through Kaitlyn’s childhood best friend Mary, who is married to Jacob’s older brother, so it is no surprise that the couple’s loved ones surrounded their big day. Kaitlyn got ready with all of her dearest friends, who provided her “something borrowed” wedding jewelry and veil. These bridal accessories complemented Kaitlyn’s timeless wedding dress.
With guidance from our Build-A-Bride™ Huntsville team at an at-home bridal appointment, Kaitlyn selected our Elizabeth Anne raw silk wedding dress. This classic wedding dress features elongating princess seams, a low V-back, and a V-neck wedding dress neckline. As a former dancer who grew up wearing rhinestone dance costumes, Kaitlyn knew she wanted a clean and classic wedding dress, and she looked like a timeless beauty in the Elizabeth Anne silhouette.
A pair of sparkly Badgley Mischka bridal shoes were the perfect finishing touch for Kaitlyn’s bridal look, as were her curled bridal hairstyle by The Carmen Salon and her wedding day makeup by Colleen Gagnon. Kaitlyn wanted each of her bridesmaids to feel just as beautiful as she did, so she let them choose their own Show Me Your Mumu bridesmaids dresses in varying shades of off white. Jacob and his groomsmen wore striking blue tuxedos rented from Generation Tux.
The wedding ceremony was decorated with rustic church pews and a trendy hexagon wedding arch with flowers. We love how this open-air wedding altar beautifully framed the far-reaching views of the bluffs. After the couple said “I do,” they were surprised with a fun confetti toss at the end of the aisle.
For the wedding reception, Kaitlyn wanted to keep the décor simple to showcase the beauty of the landscape. Fabric draped elegantly from the rafters, and treasured family pieces adorned each table. Kaitlyn and Jacob worked together to hand-dye the fabric used for the table runners and napkins.
The reception started with a “poptail” hour featuring Suzy’s Pops, a local popsicle company in Huntsville, AL, followed by a catered reception by Hog’s Pin BBQ. Kaitlyn’s Uncle’s band RadioX played fun tunes all night, while the spread of mini wedding cakes by Sweet Bee Bakery was enjoyed by all of the guests. The couple ended the night with a sparkler send-off before heading to Belize for their honeymoon.
