Just like the sweet couple themselves, Lauren and Dillon’s wedding day was filled with love and joy. The pair got married at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church in a traditional wedding ceremony followed by an intimate reception.
Lauren got ready with her best friends in coordinating black and white satin pajamas. While her bridesmaids changed into their dusty lilac bridesmaids dresses, Lauren stepped into her beautiful and minimalist wedding dress.
The bride had dreamed of a clean and classic wedding dress with long sleeves, and she was able to bring her vision to life through our Build-A-Bride collection. She loved the silhouette of our Lauren Elizabeth modest wedding dress with a keyhole back, and that served as the foundation for her gown. To make the dress exactly her style, Lauren customized it by changing the cap sleeve to a long sleeve. The end result is perfection–a minimal, chic look in front with a unique open back wedding dress detail. Lauren completed her natural bridal style with a pair of dainty bridal earrings and a chapel-length wedding veil.
After a precious first look with her dad, Lauren met her groom down the aisle for a traditional Catholic ceremony. Lauren’s full white wedding bouquet by Bloom and Petal complemented her classic style as she walked down the aisle. Photographer Emma Grace Phillips captured every moment from the ceremony, which we know the couple will treasure forever.
The newlyweds said “I do” and joined their guests for a gorgeous wedding reception at The Gilded Lily, a new Alabama wedding venue with French country style. The wedding decor perfectly matched the venue, and the tiered wedding cake by Shanna Phillips took center stage. The reception was filled with fun wedding traditions–from the first dance, to the bouquet toss, to the money dance where guests pinned money onto the bride and groom’s outfits to wish them good fortune in their marriage. Wedding coordinator Katherine Clarke ensured every detail fell into place, allowing the couple to enjoy the day effortlessly.
A night of dancing led to a sparkler send-off for the couple, leading Lauren and Dillon into their new life chapter as husband and wife. It was a delight to work with Lauren and create her dream wedding dress, and we are thrilled to have been part of her day!
