madeleine + josh
Madeleine and Josh’s breezy spring wedding in Pensacola, Florida was a breath of fresh air. From the bride’s minimalist wedding dress to the intimate at-home wedding reception, every detail felt effortlessly elegant. Florida wedding photographer Melissa Wilson Photography captured every sweet moment from the day with a bright, candid perspective.
As Madeleine and her friends got ready in matching blue bridesmaids pajamas and a white bridal getting ready outfit, the atmosphere felt joyous and excitable. Wedding makeup artist Kendall Lyn Bray did Madeleine’s natural bridal makeup, while hair stylist Jilian Reggie styled Madeleine’s hair into a beautiful low bridal bun. For her bridal accessories, Madeleine chose a pair of Loeffler Randall bow heels, which is an on-trend bridal shoe adored by many. The bride’s white gold engagement ring and diamond wedding band made for the perfect bridal jewelry, and the addition of a vintage gold bracelet and emerald huggie hoops tied in beautifully with Josh’s gold wedding band.
For her clean and classic wedding dress, Madeleine combined elements from two different Build-A-Bride™ silhouettes to create something unique to her vision. She started with Caroline York, a modern ball gown wedding dress in a structured mikado fabric. She changed the bodice to that of Aurora Maya, which is a spaghetti strap wedding dress with a fitted bodice that looks stunning with a ball gown skirt. To further personalize her wedding gown, Madeleine worked with our team to drop the back to a V-shape, transforming it into a striking wedding dress with low back--she shared with us that it got so many compliments that day! Our clean edge chapel wedding veil added the perfect finishing touch to Madeleine’s minimalist wedding day look.
The couple exchanged vows in a traditional church wedding ceremony at Old Christ Church in Pensacola before taking a trolley to the backyard wedding reception inside a clear wedding tent. We love how the groomsmen’s classic black tuxedos and blush pink Birdy Grey bridesmaid dresses complemented the overall elegant outdoor wedding aesthetic. The florals centered around fresh, natural greenery with accents of white flowers, and the outdoor chandeliers and white chiavari chairs brought the feeling of an English countryside wedding to this private residence.
The wedding catering has our mouths watering--from the boats (yes, boats!) filled with sushi to the bacon bar, local caterer Classic City Catering went above and beyond! Cake designer Betty Weber made the classic wedding cake draped in flowers as well as the music-themed groom’s cake, which was topped with a miniature piano. Speaking of music, local wedding band Fountain City Players had the guests dancing all night long. It is easy to see from the reception photos that Madeleine and Josh love a dance party!
Madeleine has such a kind spirit, and it was a pleasure to create her dream wedding dress for her big day. Congratulations to the happy couple!
