Something old, something new, something borrowed, something… blue! Sydney and Bailey’s gorgeous summer wedding united varying shades of blue to achieve a tailored, crisp style. Their Mobile, AL wedding was held at Fort Condé Inn, a southern manor surrounded by cottages that dates all the way back to 1829 and now serves as a historic wedding venue. The beauty of the manor was accented by natural white and green floral bouquets by Rose Bud Flowers, a Mobile wedding florist.
Sydney and her bridesmaids got ready within one of Fort Condé’s historic cottages in a perfectly themed pale blue room. While her bridesmaids wore silvery blue bridesmaid dresses by David’s Bridal, Sydney wore a Heidi Elnora Atelier wedding dress with a one-of-a-kind twist. She combined two silhouettes from our Build-A-Bride™ collection: she chose the top from the Diana Kelly wedding dress, which features a deep v-neckline and wide natural waistband, and combined it with the skirt from the Aurora Maya wedding dress, a ballerina ball gown created with layers and layers of lightweight tulle. What made Sydney’s wedding dress a true showstopper was the addition of our Crystal Belt--instead of wearing it around her waist, Sydney added it to her straps to accent the v-neckline of her wedding dress!
“With Heidi's help we pieced together dreamy necklines with royalty-worthy tulle and topped it off with the dramatic impact of the sparkles around the neckline.” says Sydney. “I didn’t have this dress in my mind, but as I saw it come to life on my figure, I knew this was the dress; [it said] exactly what I wanted to and everything I couldn't say.” Our team loved Sydney’s creativity and enjoyed bringing her unique vision to life. Sydney’s wedding hair was done by Mobile hair salon CK Salon, and her wedding makeup was done by Makeup by Abbey Elizabeth.
In contrast to the light and airy colors in the bridal party, Bailey and his groomsmen wore rich navy blue suits. The beautiful details and special moments from the wedding were captured on camera by Jennie Tewell Photography, a Mobile, AL wedding photographer.
Following an outdoor ceremony, guests entered a stunning outdoor wedding reception featuring Sydney’s signature color: blue! Icy blue table runners interspersed with eucalyptus branches perfectly set off a pop of cobalt blue glassware. The centerpieces of the reception were the bride and groom wedding cakes made by Underground Custom Cakes.
Sydney was a joy to work with, and we are so happy to share moments from her and Bailey’s wedding day. We’re sending all our love to the newlyweds!
