Hey y’all! My name is Jessica. I am a true southern girl - born in Auburn, AL, raised in Starkville, MS and now live in Memphis, TN. I have a degree in Marketing from Mississippi State University and a MBA from The University of Mississippi – I like to call myself “a friend of Mississippi.” I am married to Matt. He is originally from Dyersburg, TN. We have been together since 2010 and he is my best friend and the love of my life! We love Memphis and have determined that this is home! I am a fundraiser by day for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and a wedding dress curator by night – my passion in life is to help people and I am grateful to have the opportunity to do that in so many areas of my life. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family! I love a good patio and a glass of wine. I also love to travel and experience new things! I love any opportunity to be creative and empower and encourage other women. I love to create meaningful experiences. The opportunity to create once-in-a-lifetime experiences for sweet brides as they prepare for one of the best days of their lives brings me so much joy. Being engaged is magical and I want to make your dress shopping experience just that! I look forward to helping you create the dress of your dreams! Xoxo

Jessica Dyer has been married to her husband Matt for 3 years – they were college sweethearts. Jessica and Matt met in November 2009 at a swap between her sorority (Pi Beta Phi) and his fraternity (Phi Delta Theta). She was a freshman at Mississippi State University and Matt was a junior. From Matt’s perspective, it was love at first sight. This is the first picture that Matt and Jessica ever took together (see above). They knew early on in their relationship that they were meant to be together forever. After dating for nearly four and a half years, Matt asked Jessica to marry him on March 14, 2014 in Memphis, TN. Jessica was in her second semester of graduate school at Ole Miss at the time and had just returned home from a cruise with her girlfriends when he popped the question. She stopped in Starkville on her way to Memphis and her mom said “I need a pedicure, would you like to come with me and get a manicure?” Not a together activity. Later that day, when she asked Matt what time she needed to be in Memphis the next day, he said “by sunset.” Not a real time – Jessica knew that something was up. As instructed, she made it to Memphis by sunset and Matt promptly proposed in the living room of his downtown apartment. Following the intimate proposal, the happy couple shared a delightful dinner at Paulette’s followed by a walk down the bank of the Mississippi River where they called their family and loved ones to share the big news. Matt and Jessica got married on May 30, 2015 in Starkville, MS at the church that Jessica grew up in. It could truly be described as the best day ever. Jessica had 12 bridesmaids that consisted of her sister, sister-in-law, cousins, friends since birth, and high school and college best friends – including fellow Boss B.A.B.E. Hannah Smith (soon to be Henderson).
They had a formal evening church ceremony followed by a wedding reception at the Hunter Henry Center on Mississippi State’s campus. She wanted the occasion to be elegant and timeless as well as fun and memorable. She spent countless hours looking at Mississippi Wedding Magazines and Pinterest in preparation for her big day. It was also important to Jessica to incorporate special items into her wedding day such as her mom’s wedding veil, her maternal grandmother’s garter and a charm from her late paternal grandmother’s charm bracelet. She also gave her mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law embroidered handkerchiefs with personalized messages as keepsakes from the very important day. She and her mother planned every detail of the wedding together and it was definitely a special time for them.
If Jessica were to get married again (of course to Matt Dyer J) she would wear the Adalyn Cruz dress with the v-neck lace top as well as the charlotte belt from the Build-A-Bride collection. This ball gown is gorgeous with its plunging sweetheart neckline and chapel length train – add the v-neck lace top and the charlotte belt and it is sexy, yet conservative with a little bit of sparkle. Jessica can’t wait to play dress up with her fabulous brides and create the most perfect dresses for them that will have them feeling nothing short of stunning on their wedding day.
Jessica has been living in Memphis since August 2014. Matt has been there since 2012. They absolutely love Memphis and have decided that it is their forever home. In Jessica’s opinion, Memphis is a true gem – a big small town in the heart of the mid-south, a melting pot of talented hard-working people from all walks of life with an ever-present sense of grit and soul. The people are what make Memphis great and she can’t wait to work with future brides in West Tennessee. Jessica is a member of the Junior League of Memphis as well as Christ United Methodist Church.
She is a fundraiser by day and a Boss B.A.B.E. by night. Jessica has had the great fortune of serving the mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital since February 2015. Growing up, she knew that she wanted to help people, but knew that she wouldn’t be a doctor or nurse. In college, she discovered the greatness that is St. Jude and determined that fundraising was the path that she would take to fulfill her passion. She is grateful that she gets the opportunity to serve others in so many areas of her life. Below is a picture of Jessica at the St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Nashville Marathon & ½ Marathon Health and Fitness Expo.
Jessica loves weddings and loves LOVE. She can’t wait to help you create the dress of your dreams. There are two pieces of advice that she likes to pass on to brides. 1. Trust yourself! There are many decisions to make during the wedding planning process and often they occur over a several month time span. There is always something that you could do differently – but remember that when you made each decision about each detail of your wedding you loved it at the time even if later you think you may want to do it differently. Trust the girl that made that decision and know that she was so happy when she made that decision and don’t stress it J2. Your wedding day is likely the only day where everyone that you love and everyone that your husband loves, will be in the same room at the same time. Keep your mind set on that and remember that the most important thing is that on your wedding day you GET MARRIED Jenjoy this season. It goes by fast! Keep it fun.
If you are in West Tennessee, give Jessica a call. She can’t wait to work with you and help make your dress buying experience as fun as it can possibly be.
